The Sludge Drag conveyor consists of two parallel loops of rivetless forged chain connected with bars that scrape the entire width of the tank bottom and drag the sludge up a sloped wall to discharge it into a sludge container. The conveyor is gearmotor driven with torque limit protection which prevents damage to system in case of a jam.
Used in high production applications where large accumulations of sludge are expected as this device reduces the need for manual tank clean-out and substantially extends the solution life. The operation can be automatically controlled by 7-day programmable timer switching on and off near the end of the OFF shift after contaminants have had time to separate from the solution.
